United Bank of India, one of the leading public sector banks
in India, headquartered at Kolkata, Hemanta Basu sarani has invited
applications for 450 PO/Management trainee posts. Those candidates who have a
valid pass score in IBPS will only be eligible to apply. The online applications start from 24-02-2012 and end on 09-03-2012.

The selected candidates will be on probation for two years.
Eligibility criteria:
A Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks for
General, 50% or more marks for SC/ST/PWD from a recognized university.
Post graduates with similar eligibility criteria as
graduation are also eligible to apply.
IBPS score details: General candidates: 138 or more,
SC/ST/PWD/OBC: 125 or more.
Individual cutoff for General:
24 and others: 21.
Six months computer course from a registered institute is
necessary, waved for candidates who had computer as a course in graduation.
*Age relaxations as per Central Government rules and
regulations.
Group discussion and
interview:
Depending upon the number of
vacancies, the Bank reserves the right to call only those candidates who have
secured sufficiently high score in the IBPS conducted Common Written
Examination for the Group
Discussion and / Interview.
The total marks for Group Discussion/ Interview will be 100.
The minimum qualifying marks for Group Discussion and /Interview would be 40
(35 for SC/ST/PWD/OBC).
How to apply:
Applications have to logon to United Bank recruitment
section and download the challan, visit nearby UBI bank and pay the fees
(General/OBC- Rs. 200 and SC/ST- RS. 50). Then apply online and write down the
transaction details in the United Bank PO online application.
Call letters for interview for selected candidates will be
intimated later on.
